The complex itself has an extensive range of onsite facilities including cafés, bars and restaurants – so after you’re done with skiing, you won’t even have to step outside again. There’s a huge indoor pool, as well as a sauna and steam room ideal for some down time in the afternoons and evenings. If you’ve still got energy to burn, then head to the fitness centre. Hungry? You’ll be well taken care of here. There’s a range of restaurants and bars onsite, as well as a mini-market for grabbing some quick supplies. The buffet breakfasts and gourmet 4-course evening meals will round off your days nicely.
When you’re finally ready for bed, you’ll look forward to returning to your cosy room. We’ve got twin and quad rooms available, as well as options for those travelling solo, so the Planibel really is ideal for everyone. Throw in superb views of the surrounding mountains and it’s no wonder this hotel is such a popular choice with Crystal customers year after year. The little ones will be well looked after in our Crystal Pepi Penguin Nursery or Beanie Bear Club which are based in the hotel and available on selected dates.
Known as Little Siberia among the Italians, La Thuile enjoys excellent conditions and amazing views of the Matterhorn, Monte Rosa and Mont Blanc. With most slopes facing east, it’s got a great snow record covering its long, wide runs. The lifts are very efficient and have high capacity, meaning that there are pretty much no queues during the week. The resort is generally more suited to intermediate skiers with some of the more challenging runs being the home runs back into the village, although beginners can get the cable car back down too. The mountain has plenty of places to eat and drink, having improved greatly over the past few seasons, with the opening of some very good (and reasonable) Italian restaurants. The village has a relaxing après ski atmosphere with a range of bars that will have free snacks with your drinks. The town isn’t too lively after midnight with just King’s Bar staying open into the early hours.
