Snowdonia is a mountainous region in northwestern Wales and a national park of 823 square miles in area. It was the first to be designated of the three national parks in Wales, in 1951. It contains the highest peaks in the United Kingdom outside of Scotland.

Situated on the west coast of Britain covering 823 square miles of diverse landscapes, Snowdonia National Park is a living working area, home to over 26,000 people. As well as being the largest National Park in Wales, Snowdonia boasts the highest mountain in England and Wales, and the largest natural lake in Wales, as well as a wealth of picturesque villages like Betws y Coed and Beddgelert. Snowdonia is an area steeped in culture and local history, where more than half its population speak Welsh.

Snowdonia is Wales undisputed activity capital, crammed full of all kinds of outdoor activities like cycling, climn=bing, hores riding golfing bird watching,  caving and watersports … and much more.

There are  plenty of arts, crafts, shops selling local produce  family fun parks, adventure trips, zips above and underground, narrow gauge railway, castles and natural attractions. The rich history and traditions is told in ancient monuments and museums.
