More Information

The Netherlands may be a small country but it’s big on amazing destinations.  If you can picture tulip fields, historic windmills, cellar bars, beautiful countryside, wildlife, and world-famous art collections then you’re just scratching the surface of this incredible country.

And there is so much more than just Amsterdam to discover. Roughly the size of the state of Maryland in the United States, The Netherlands lies mostly at or below sea level. Now completely urbanized and densely populated it’s a unique and distinct country. With wide blue skies, unchanged villages, beautiful church spires, and lovely canals, The Netherlands is, indeed, a remarkable country.

In addition to visiting Amsterdam the Netherlands has plenty to offer such as Rotterdam, The Hague, Leiden, Haarlem, Utrecht, Maastricht and De Hoge Veluwe National Park.

All you need to do is decide when you want to go, late spring in particular is a great time to go as the weather is warming up, there’s less chance of rain, tulip season is in full bloom and events are picking up. Equally the Netherlands over the Christmas and New Year period is a fantastic time with the markets  there are lots of things to do and New Year’s Eve in Amsterdam is a pretty wild night worth experiencing at least once.

So visiting the Netherlands is something to very much consider.
